Hello! And A Very Warm Welcome
Hi, I'm Gemma! - the paper cutting creative illustrator, and animal lover behind Paper Pawtraits - a cosy little creative world nestled in Wolverhampton, UK. I work from my studio lovingly assisted and constantly supervised by my five mischievous rabbits: Blizzard, Marbles, Laguna, Skye, and Amber. They're the real bosses around here, to be honest.
Some people might describe me as an award-winner, animal lover, Disney super fan and the No.1 bunny parent (The bunnies words, not mine - but I won't argue). I love all things chocolatey- yum!, kindness and anything that sparks creativity. When I’m not cutting tiny paper whiskers or layering pastel bunny ears, I love exploring the outdoors, travelling with my husband, and spoiling the fluff out of my little rabbit crew.
My core values are humor, humble, kindness, handmaking with heart, being planet friendly conscious, a little whimsy and curious by nature.

About My Art - Every piece I make is handcrafted with heaps of love and a little bit of paper magic. I use high-quality tools, recycled papers and as many sustainable materials as I can get my hands on - even our cellophane packaging is 100% compostable! Whether it’s a card, print, or bespoke portrait, each creation is hand-drawn, hand-cut, and carefully finished in the studio (usually with a bunny watching close by).
I like to think of my art as little pockets of joy - colourful, heartfelt, and made to be treasured. My goal is to help you celebrate the special bonds you share with your favourite people, pets and your favourite animals - with thoughtful, whimsical designs that bring a smile (and maybe a happy tear or two).
Where It All Comes From - My work is inspired by the things I love most: animals, nature, and storytelling. With over 15 years of experience and a BA Hons in Creative Arts (plus diplomas in Zoology and Photography), I blend my passions into every piece. From bespoke pet portraits to joyful stationery and whimsical paper toys, everything I create is a celebration of life’s little joys - especially the furry, four-legged ones.
